Inspired by true events, this baroque tale with a contemporary twist transcends time to explore how people create identities in response to social standards.
The result of a partnership with Previously… Scotland’s History Festival, Volante had a rehearsed reading of its first draft at the Traverse Theatre’s Hothouse programme in November 2016. A second draft was supported by the Tom McGrath Award and read at the Edinburgh Multilingual Stories Festival in December 2018.
