Deep in the Circle of the Heretics, a forgotten philosopher lies in his grave. His tomb is on fire. He’s got the whole of eternity to spend inside his own mind… good job he has a sense of humour.

Part of the Eme-Bal residency, Canto X uses text and physicality to create a new piece based on Dante Alighieri’s La Divina Commedia.

Volante

Inspired by true events, this baroque tale with a contemporary twist transcends time to explore how people create identities in response to social standards.

The result of a partnership with Previously… Scotland’s History FestivalVolante had a rehearsed reading of its first draft at the Traverse Theatre’s Hothouse programme in November 2016. A second draft was supported by the Tom McGrath Award and read at the Edinburgh Multilingual Stories Festival in December 2018.
